Since almost all languages may be influenced by each other, the contact among cultures and languages is seen as a common and natural happening. Of course, the contact and bonding among languages are causes of social, scientific and technical developments of a society. Languages contact is also the production of cultures contact. The critical issues of translation, words and translative interpretations that are borrowed from the other languages may be considered the productions of contact among languages. Major work should be done on Pakistan language especially in respect of corpus planning as well as status planning to make it a standard language of Pakistan. All language policies should be made after proper research by the skilled linguistics, psychologists, sociologist and policy makers. Some suggestions as followings: The issue of language planning should be taken as national issue of Pakistan. The researcher recommended that Urdu is a sign of nationalism and lingua franca and English as global language must run side by side, so we can accomplish maximum consequences by competing with the other countries in respect of nationalism. Language planning is official and government-level policy concerning the assortment and promotion of a incorporated administrative language or languages. In present time 'National Education Policy 2017' is a good step towards the development. The scope of this study is that the researcher giving some new plans and suggestions to amend policies. ![]() Language planning is need of all countries especially countries having multilingual and multi-ethnic makeup, Pakistan is one of those countries which have not only multilingual composition but also a conflict on the basis of languages. Pakistan is a multilingual country with five major languages and fifty eight other languages. From the initial day of Pakistan, Pakistani facing tribulations regarding language planning even one of our parts now Bangladesh was separated mainly because of this issue. So in this state of affairs language planning changed into more important beside other national troubles. Each government permitted new articles in the constitutions and policies but without following a suitable line of investigation and management of researchers. This article is written to analyze and give some suggestions concerning language planning in National Education Policy (NEP) 2017. This new school of thought is spearheaded by David Crystal (2008) and Baron (2008) who see more positive aspects to SMS text messaging than other linguists and some writers. The paper shows that there is much to achieve with its use than otherwise. The phenomenon of SMS texting has a positive side to it as many students today write more than ever before. Research carried out also shows that contrary to what many people think SMS texting is not all negative. Students present what is understood by their readers and friends which is different from Standard English forms. An analysis of the presented forms shows that they are very different from the regular contractions that are known in the English language. It identifies the kind of messages that students write and shows how different they are from the formal contracted forms that are known by writers and linguists. ![]() A survey was carried out on students' of level 500 with the aim of finding what they write in their messages and giving the samples and full forms. ![]() This article examines the implications of SMS text messaging on the writing skills of students at the University of Buea. ![]()
